written by Rick Riordan in the Percy Jackson and the
Olympians series. As with previous books, the story is narrated in the
first-person by the main protagonist, Percy Jackson.
The title of the book was revealed in USA
Today and later re-announced on Rick Riordan's blog on 4th September 2008.
The North American cover art was revealed on Rick Riordan's blog on 18th
February 2009 along with an interview with Blackjack the Pegasus conducted
by Percy Jackson.
